just trying to hold it together in the face of total collapse (and php config file editing) is out now

The best part of putting out a new record are the hours spent troubleshooting php config files to get a website somewhat operational enough to be able to type out some sort of missive regarding the release of that record. They just don’t teach enough programming in music school…

If you, like me, had HBO in the early 80s you might remember that their movie selection was pretty slim. One movie they played over and over and over and over and over and over was Jerry Lewis’ “Cracking Up”. The opening sequence of this movie features our protagonist simply trying to make his way across an office to plant cheek to cushion. This takes ten minutes. It is ridiculous. And, it still gets me every time I think about or see it. And so, this record is a sort of offering up to that opening sequence. Other things I was thinking about were exhaustion, juggling knives poorly and trying not to get hurt, and the special madness of ¬†controlling things that are clearly falling apart, knowing that they are going to fall apart, but just seeing how much influence you can have over how the rubble ends up. Listen below. Head over to bandcamp to order a CD if you still listen to those things.
