It is not often that you get the chance to play loud music in an unused bank so…when Joe Morris extended the offer to play at 45 Church Street in New Haven, in an evacuated financial institution, I said yep. I was there for last month’s installment and it is a sick room. Loud and boomy. Notes just hang there. The inside of the building looks like something from a Batman comic…kind of art deco…kind of gothic. I’ll be playing with Subfloor…which includes Carl Testa on bass and modular synth and Dave Parmelee on drums. Saxophonist and guitarist Colin Fisher is on tour and will be joining us as well. Colin will also be playing on Saturday night in New Haven as part of Carl’s Uncertainty Music Series. Should be a good weekend of music in the old Elm City.
